古时有一人，于友人家中饮酒。酒杯置于桌上，光影映照之下，杯中似有蛇影晃动。此人见状大惊失色，归家后便觉身体不适，心绪难安。家人询问缘由，方知其因杯中蛇影而忧惧。
友人闻之，邀其再来饮宴，并特地解释：当日所见之蛇影，实乃墙上挂剑之反光所致。此人心疑渐解，病亦随之痊愈。
