English Story - The Farmer Who Pulled Up His Seedlings
Once upon a time, in a small village nestled between rolling hills, there lived a farmer named Tom. Tom owned a vast field where he grew wheat. He worked hard every day, watering the soil and tending to his crops with great care.
One sunny morning, as Tom walked through his fields, he noticed that some of his seedlings were growing very slowly. Frustrated by their lack of progress, Tom decided to take matters into his own hands. “If they won’t grow fast enough on their own,” he thought, “I’ll help them along!”
With determination, Tom gathered all his strength and began pulling up each tiny sprout from the ground. As he worked tirelessly under the scorching sun, he felt proud of his efforts. “Now my crops will be ready for harvest much sooner!” he exclaimed triumphantly.
But as evening fell, Tom stood back to admire his handiwork. To his dismay, he saw that not only had the plants died, but the entire field now looked barren and lifeless. Realizing his mistake, Tom sat down and wept bitterly.
From that day on, Tom learned an important lesson: sometimes, patience is the best tool for growth. Though it may seem slow, nature has its own rhythm, and rushing things can lead to disaster.
And so, the tale of the farmer who pulled up his seedlings became a cautionary story told throughout the land—a reminder to respect the natural order of things.
