It was a sunny afternoon, and I was playing with my toys in the living room. The house was quiet except for the sound of birds chirping outside. My mom had just finished cooking lunch and was sitting on the couch reading a book.
Suddenly, she looked up and noticed that the living room was messy. Toys were scattered everywhere, and it seemed like a small tornado had hit our home. At first, she didn’t say anything, but her face began to show signs of concern.
A few minutes later, she called out my name gently, "Dear, can you come here for a moment?" I walked over, holding one of my favorite action figures. She pointed at the mess and asked, "Why is everything so untidy? Don't you remember we agreed to keep the house clean?"
I felt a bit nervous because I knew I hadn’t cleaned up after myself. I tried to explain, "I was just about to put them away..." But before I could finish, she interrupted me with a slightly louder voice, "Well, it looks like you forgot your part of the deal."
Her tone made me feel uneasy, and I realized I had upset her. I quickly dropped the toy and started picking up the other ones. Seeing how sorry I was, she softened a little and said, "Alright, let’s work together to tidy this up. Remember, keeping our space neat is important not only for us but also for everyone who visits."
From that day on, I learned to be more responsible and tidy up after playing. Although mom got angry, it was a lesson I needed to grow up and take better care of our shared home.
The end.
